Hey hey!

I'm Tammy & I launched SOCKS & SASS with a love for house music, festivals and generally having a lovely time. I was a one-woman band, but I recently hired my best friend Liz, to support with all things admin! I run S&S from my flat in South London, alongside my day job at BMG Music, which I love in equal measures. 

S&S was founded in 2021, I was miserable climbing the corporate ladder & wanted somewhere I could express my creativity. I have a chronic illness - chronic fatigue syndrome - and I needed to find some balance too.

I thought for a while about my love for house music, Ibiza, festival fashion & my favourite DJ - Sam Divine - who is renowned for wearing socks & trainers. I spent 6 months sampling socks, soft launched at the end of 2021 and have been growing my brand ever since. Having S&S gave me more connection to the music industry, and I've finally found a balance that I love, between BMG & S&S!

In Jan 2023 I went to my first reformer pilates class and fell in love with movement - I was the kid at school that hated PE! Not only did it calm my mind, but the benefits associated with my chronic illness were incredible. The studio owner saw my funky socks and asked "Can you put grip on those?" There was a real gap in the market for stylish grip socks, and nobody was doing this in London. Once again, I started sampling and testing products with instructors, before launching grip socks - which is now the biggest part of my business. I love designing each collection and thinking of new ways to elevate S&S.

I'm proud to be working with incredible brands, stocking international pilates studios, hosting S&S events and to have finally connected with Sam Divine - manifestation is real! I can't wait to continue growing S&S, it's a true collective of all my passions.
